How and Why Do I Coach?
My approach isn’t about creating a “new you” — it’s about being the same you, but with a better plan.
I grew up overweight, unhappy with how I looked, and genuinely unsure where to start. I know first-hand how overwhelming fitness and nutrition can be: conflicting advice, endless trends, and the pressure to get everything “perfect” from day one. Staying consistent is often harder than getting started — and that’s where most people struggle.
Becoming a coach was driven by a simple goal: to help people avoid the years of mistakes, wrong turns, and frustration that I went through. I want my clients to fast-track their progress with a clear, realistic plan that actually fits their life. After more than 15 years of coaching, I know what works — and just as importantly, what doesn’t. My role is to cut through the noise and guide you towards the version of yourself you want to become in a way that feels pragmatic, sustainable, and stress-free.
I’m part of the Advanced Coaching Academy and a qualified CrossFit Coach, with additional certifications in Low Back Pain Management, Obesity and Diabetes Management, Running Technique Coaching, Olympic Weightlifting, GP Referral, and more. I particularly enjoy working with people who are new to training — helping them nail the basics quickly and build a strong foundation so they can train with confidence.
Nutrition was my original route into health and fitness, and it remains a deep passion of mine. I’m a BodyType Nutrition Certified Coach and have also trained with the Institute for the Psychology of Eating. One thing I’m certain of: you cannot out-train a bad diet — trust me I have tried! So nutrition forms the basis of any move towards improved health and fitness.
After years of coaching clients face-to-face in gyms, I now focus more on mobile and remote coaching. This allows me to work more closely with clients on a daily basis, particularly those with busy schedules who can’t always get to the gym. It’s a more flexible, supportive, and effective way of coaching — and ultimately delivers better, longer-lasting results.
